When big band music fused with hot club music in 1930s France, gypsy jazz was born. Since the early 2000s, there has been a global surge in the popularity of Gypsy Jazz and the music of Django Reinhardt. This music is hot hot hot! The Django AllStars honor the best energetic traditions of French Gypsy Jazz in the tradition and style of Django Reinhardt, but add their own creative interpretations, arrangements, and original compositions, all with the stunning virtuosity typical of these highly regarded players.
